A beautiful heirloom jewellery box dating from 1858, made of rosewood and decorated with lovely floral motifs in brass, abalone and mother of pearl. The box has a lovely dark green interior in velvet and satin, and there is a working lock and key. On the base is paper with a handwritten inscription dating the box to 1858. This would make a perfect gift for someone special, to pass down the generations. There is ample room inside for jewellery or keepsakes.
