A 1970s telephone bench made by Chippy Heath, a British manufacturer based in High Wycombe. Made of teak, this stylish bench, named the Chippy Nordic, was designed to provide a comfortable place to sit whilst talking on the telephone, back in the days of non-mobile phones which couldn't be carried around the house. Nowadays it makes a perfect hallway seat to put on your shoes, with storage for keys, umbrellas and other handy items behind the drop down door. It has its original fabric upholstery in a checked beige and brown, and iconic 'Chippy' wipe-clean whiteboard for reminders, with pencil slot.
The bench is in excellent condition with very minor signs of use; the upholstery has only very minor wear, and has been washed so it smells fresh.
