A very attractive Mid Century dressing table by E. Gomme for G Plan. Made of richly coloured tola wood, it has 2 generous drawers, the top drawer lined with original black velveteen and divided into 3 compartments with removable separators (ideal for organising cosmetics & jewellery). There are 2 glass shelves supported by brass fittings, and a large vertical mirror which tilts. The legs are black lacquered and have brass leveller feet (useful for hard floors to eliminate any wobble!). The gold stamp inside the lower drawer dates the table to 1952-65, and the product appears in the 1962 'New Models' catalogue as model 1842; it was produced as part of the Tola and Black range of furniture.
The dressing table is in very good, original condition. It has been cleaned, oiled, and finished with protective wax. There is minor discolouration to the brass fittings and very minor marks to the wood. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
