A pair of 1970s teak bedside cabinets / nightstands, designed by Victor Wilkins for G Plan. These minimalist cabinets are part of the 'Fresco' range, a very successful product range introduced in 1966 and inspired by the Danish designers who brought Mid Century Modern to the UK. They are reassuringly solid and well made but still elegant, with curved edges and a simple uncluttered design.
Each cabinet has a good mixture of display and concealed storage, with a cabinet top, large alcove with shelf, and a single drawer. Although designed as bedside cabinets, they would also work well in other rooms as a small bookcase or to store vinyl records. The cabinets have solid teak edges and handles, with teak veneer on the remaining surfaces.
Dimensions (each cabinet): Height 54cm, Width 46cm, Depth 41cm.
This pair of cabinets is in very good vintage condition with very minor marks. The original G Plan stickers are inside each drawer, and the original furniture shop labels are on the back, dated 1976. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
