This original Anglepoise lamp model 1227 was made between 1938 and 1968*, most likely 1950s/60s. The light can be pointed in any direction as the arms fully flex up and down and pivot on the base. The shade can be lifted up and down. This early model has The 'Anglepoise' cast into the fork, and has a stepped base.
The fluted shade has a push button switch at the top, the base is covered with original green felt, and the flex is white. The lamp takes a standard bayonet bulb (B22). These earlier Anglepoise lamps marked with the Herbert Terry name are very sought after and this one is in unusually good condition.
The lamp is in working order and good vintage condition with minor chips to the paintwork. The wiring has been checked and the plug replaced. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
All of our electrical products are PAT tested and inspected before sale, however for all vintage lighting we suggest that buyers consult a professional to reassure themselves of safety before use.
