A fabulous original piece of string art in autumnal colours. String art was very popular in the late 1960s and 70s, and this is a lovely example with fabulous evocative shapes and shades. The art is made by wrapping coloured thread around small nails tapped into a covered board, creating beautiful curved shapes from straight lines. The background fabric is an olive green weave; the thread is red, orange and off-white.
