An antique jewellery box dating from the 1880s, made of mahogany with brass strapping, and lined in a dark purple velvet. A Victorian travelling box, it features both clasps at the side and a working lock with original brass key. There is a brass plate on the top and 2 inside, which could be engraved, and a brass shield escutcheon. Inside are 3 compartments, perfect for jewellery, cufflinks and watches.
