An excellent quality mid century teak desk by Lucas Furniture, designed by leading British designer Herbert Berry. This fabulous purpose-built desk has a deep, solid teak top which juts out at the back for a colleague to sit. It has plenty of space for studying or working from home, and is just as attractive on the reverse so looks great in the middle of a room. The left pedestal has 3 drawers and a pull out leaf; the right pedestal has a large drawer for hanging files, a smaller drawer and another pull out leaf with an inset pen tray. Both sets of drawers are lockable (original key supplied). The handles are solid teak and the legs are chrome.
The desk has a lovely warm teak tone and is in very good condition with minor signs of use, including minor scratches and dents to the wood and light patina on the chrome. The foot rest inside the knee hole has been well repaired at some point. Each drawer has the Lucas Furniture maker's mark inside it. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
