A Pair of 60s Vintage Teak Table Lamps
 
These solid teak lamps were most likely handmade by a carpenter in England in the 1960s. They are made with pieces of teak of varying colour and each with its own unique grain, creating a chequer-board pattern. The bases are covered with protective felt. The lamps have been paired with new shades.
 
The lamps have been carefully restored; the wood has been stripped, oiled and finished with a protective wax, and the lamps have been fully rewired with new flex, bayonet cap lamp holders and plugs, all in stylish black. The lamp with the darker teak has a small, shallow dent around 1cm long (see last picture) but this is only visible when the lamp is on and close up.
