A very pretty Victorian glass box with a hand-engraved silver-plated lid. Dating from around 1870, the dish was originally for soap or other toiletries and would work beautifully in your bathroom as a storage box, but would also be perfect for jewellery or trinkets, and would be a perfect gift- there is room in the centre of the lid for initials to be engraved.. There are tiny holes in the lid so it isn't airtight.
The box and lid are in excellent condition without chips, cracks or dents. There is minor tarnishing to the silver which adds to its charm. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
