Art Deco Walnut Corner Cabinet
 
A high quality display cabinet, with a curved walnut veneer cupboard at the bottom and a glazed display cabinet above. Made in 1959, it has an Art Deco feel, with beautiful symmetrical grain on the walnut door. The cabinet has brass fittings to support 2 original triangular glass shelves behind original sliding glass doors.
 
The cabinet is extremely well made with a solid oak frame. Surprisingly spacious inside, it fits neatly into the corner and looks elegant and delicate with its bow-fronted cupboard and curved edges. The cupboard has one internal shelf and a brass-coloured knob.
 
The reverse of the cabinet has a stamp showing the date of inspection to be 22 Oct 1956. There is also a label showing a 1960 kite mark. 
 
The cabinet has been carefully restored, with the original dark varnish removed to reveal the delicately coloured wood underneath. It has been oiled and finished with protective wax. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
