G Plan Fresco Teak Bedside Cabinet, 1960s/70s Vintage, Mid Century Modern

A 1960s/70s teak bedside cabinet / nightstand, designed by Victor Wilkins for G Plan. This minimalist cabinet is part of the 'Fresco' range, a very successful product range introduced in 1966 and inspired by the Danish designers who brought Mid Century Modern to the UK. It is reassuringly solid and well made but still elegant, with curved edges and a simple uncluttered design.
 
The cabinet has a good mixture of display and concealed storage, with a cabinet top, large alcove with shelf, and a single drawer. Although designed as a bedside cabinet, it would also work well in other rooms as a small bookcase or to store vinyl records. The cabinet has solid teak edges and handles, with teak veneer on the remaining surfaces.
 
This cabinet is in excellent vintage condition with very tiny minor marks - it has been stripped and refinished in oil and protective wax. The original G Plan sticker is inside the drawer. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
