G Plan Fresco Teak Sideboard Credenza 60s Vintage Mid Century

Beautiful and practical storage unit designed by Victor Wilkins for G Plan in the 1960s as part of the popular Fresco range. This sideboard is exceptionally well made and is a beautiful warm amber colour with lovely grain. The unit has 3 cupboards, each with an adjustable shelf, and 3 drawers, the middle of which is lined with original purple velvet with removable teak partitions. This lovely piece of furniture will be the focal point of any room.
 
The piece is in almost perfect condition, with the only notable marks being very minor scratches on the right side of the top surface (please see last photograph). The main body of the item is made of afromosia, a hardwood resembling mahogany often used in the 60s. This is covered in teak veneer on the top, sides and drawer / cupboard fronts. The panels on the cupboard fronts and handles are solid teak. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
