G Plan Quadrille Bedroom Stool, Teak and Black Leatherette / Vinyl, Mid Century

An elegant stool with a solid teak frame and original, curved, black leatherette / vinyl seat. The attractive legs identify this stool as being part of the 'Quadrille' range, first launched by G Plan in 1965. The 'Quadrille' name comes from the square frames which make the legs (a quadrille being a square dance with four couples). However the inside of the solid teak frames are curved, giving them a simple but stylish elegance.  Modern and futuristic, the range had clean lines and a lightness which was inspired by the Danish designers of the time. The style still looks very contemporary today, and fits into both modern and retro-inspired interiors.

The stool is in very good, original condition. There are a few marks on the legs and a small scrape to one corner of the vinyl (see last picture). Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
