G Plan Tola and Black Sideboard, Model 4014
 
This sideboard was first introduced in 1958 by British furniture manufacturer, G Plan. It is finished in tola veneer, a richly coloured wood sometimes known as African mahogany. It has contrasting ebonised legs and brass fittings, creating a luxurious and glamorous design.
 
The sideboard features one cupboard / drinks cabinet with drop down drawer, and a second with 2 sliding doors, one in tola and one in ebonised wood. It also has 2 drawers, one designed for cutlery with a black velvet base and removable partitions, and one which features the G Plan gold stamp. The legs are finished in solid brass feet which can be screwed in or out individually to compensate for uneven floors. 
 
This example is in original condition; it has been cleaned and polished but hasn't had the original finish removed. There are some minor bumps to the wood and patina on the brass, but these are not particularly noticeable. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
