An original Lloyd Loom chair, dated Oct 1957, with vintage green paint. The Lloyd Loom process was invented in 1917 in the US, with British rights owned from 1920 by William Lusty. The unique fabric was made with paper twisted around a wire, and became extremely popular in the 1930s.

This chair is in lovely condition, with slight wear giving it a charming vintage appearance. It would look fabulous in a conservatory or bathroom with lots of plants! As the green paint is original, the threads are separate and not painted together, and the strings are unbroken. There are minor marks and scuffs to the painted legs. The paper label remains, with the date stamped into the wood underneath. Please examine the photographs as a description of its appearance and condition. Feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
