Vintage Chinese Wall Plate
 
This large decorative brass plate is believed to date from the first half of the 20th century. It is engraved with a Chinese character in the centre, surrounded by birds, creatures and flowers. The fluted edge is attached with pins. The reverse is stamped with 'Made in Hong Kong' and has an original fastening to attach the plate to the wall.
 
The plate is in good vintage condition. The front has light scratches and patina. It hasn't been polished so has a muted, vintage shine. The reverse has patches of surface corrosion. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
