A vintage Micromark architect's lamp on a weighted base in black with red and white accents, dating from the 1970s or 80s. This large, angle poise-style lamp has excellent manoeuvrability and reach, designed originally to direct focused light across large architect drawings. It's ideal for task lighting, but also casts a large pool of light across your desk due to the wide shade.
The lamp is made of aluminium with black plastic trim. The base is plastic, is weighted for stability, and has 4 compartments for stationery and 2 holes for pens/pencils. The whole lamp pivots in the base, the shade pivots on the arm, and the arms can be raised and lowered. Its joints are fastened with nuts and bolts, meaning that they can be tightened / loosened to make the arms more or less rigid. It takes a standard bayonet cap (B22) bulb; it currently has a daylight bulb, ideal for crafts. The lamp has an original label on the base.
