Mid Century Beaver and Tapley Multi-Width Slim Glazed Bookcase, 1950s Vintage

Glazed Vintage Bookcase
 
A simple and elegant mid century modern bookcase with 2 sets of sliding glass doors. Made by Beaver and Tapley as part of their 'Multi-Width' range, this is a relatively slim cabinet in lovely medium-toned wood. The top section has an adjustable shelf resting on original brass supports and a shelf at the bottom. Underneath is a second section, also glazed; there are 3 horizontal surfaces plus the top in total. The cabinet rests on original solid wood legs and is beautifully made.
 
The cabinet has been fully restored; the original dark finish has been removed to reveal the warm colour of the mahogany-type wood underneath. It has been oiled and finished with protective wax. There are very minimal signs of use; the wood and original glass are all in very good vintage condition. The original 'Multi-Width' label remains.
