A fabulous piece combining plant display, storage and table top. Designed in the mid 1950s by noted Danish designer Arne Wahl Iversen in the new Mid Century Modern style, for Vinde Møbelfabrik of Skive, Denmark. The piece is ideal as a hallway console, with 3 small drawers plus a low slatted shelf, but would make a great centrepiece in any room. The galvanised steel removable tray is designed to hold plants directly.
In excellent, vintage condition with very minor marks to the wood, and signs of use on the steel planter. The Vinde Møbelfabrik logo, model 36 identifying mark and 'Made in Denmark' are printed on the base of one of the drawers.
