An exceptionally handsome and stately teak desk, made in the 1960s by William Lawrence of Nottingham. The desk is very well made with solid teak sleigh legs, handles and frame, with contrasting, lighter teak veneer on the desk top and 4 drawer fronts. 
 
The full-width drawer handles give it a sleek, streamlined look, echoing the desk top which protrudes a little and seems to float above the base. The rear of the desk is neat and tidy, ideal if you don't want to place the desk against a wall. The 2 top drawers both have the gold maker's mark on the interior.
 
The desk is a beautiful warm teak colour with attractive grain. It has been gently restored and finished with oil and protective wax. It has minor marks to the wood but is in overall excellent condition. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
