Mid Century Vintage Sideboard in Walnut and Beech, 1950s/60s
A beautiful and useful sideboard dating from the 1950s or 60s with a solid beech frame and walnut veneer. The contrast between the light beech and dark walnut is striking, and mimics the colour variation in the walnut itself.
The sideboard has 2 cupboards, each with an internal shelf, a glazed drinks cabinet section with curved shelf, and 2 drawers. The curved shelf allows space for taller bottles; it can be removed if required. The top drawer is designed for cutlery and is lined with green felt. The top of the sideboard is protected with glass; the original handles are brass-coloured metal,

The sideboard has been stripped, oiled and waxed. It is in very good vintage condition; there is one area on the bottom right side where the veneer has been repaired (see last picture), one of the internal shelves is warped and doesn't sit completely flat, and there is wear to the felt in the cutlery drawer.
