Mid Century Vintage Teak Table with Hidden Storage, Lockable Hinged Lid

An unusual and very attractive teak occasional table with a lined, lockable compartment underneath the hinged lid. This mid century table is very elegant with long tapered legs, finished with brass feet. It has a glossy teak finish and beautiful grain. The tabletop has brass hinges and lock, and lifts to reveal a burgundy moiré silk lined interior. Originally this table would have stored silver cutlery in the dining room, but has been re-lined and would work beautifully as a hall table, or as an occasional table in any room. The interior could be used as a jewellery box or to store any treasured items.
 
The table is well made with soft curves and elegant lines. The lining of the box and lid are both gently padded. The original lock works smoothly with the gold-tasselled key. There are a few very minor signs of use but the table is in overall very good condition. There is some wear to the brass feet - the most damaged can be seen in the final picture. Please note that the table legs will be removed for delivery, but easily screw into the table top.
