Shattaline Orange Red Resin Table Lamp with Cream Spun Fibreglass Shade

A 'Shattaline' lamp made of orange 'shattered' resin with red highlights, teamed with a 1960s spun fibreglass shade in cream / off-white.
 
Shattaline products were made in England in the 1960s; the 'shattering' effect was caused by pouring a catalyst into the polyester resin and pigmentation - in this case primarily orange with some red. Spun fibreglass shades were equally popular in the 60s and have become iconic. This shade is the perfect companion to the base.
 
The base has its original wiring and purple velvet-textured paper on the bottom to protect the table top. The lamp takes a standard bayonet cap (B22) bulb. All of our electrical products are tested and inspected before sale, however for all vintage lighting we suggest that buyers consult a professional to reassure themselves of safety before use.
