Teak and Linen 1960s Embroidered Stool with Sunflower Motif
 
This unique stool is in fabulous condition for its age - a rare survivor that has been so carefully looked after for the past 60 years or so. It has a solid teak frame, and an original seat made of Irish linen, hand embroidered with a large sunflower in a variety of threads. The linen is a muted burnt orange colour, and the sunflower is a mix of reds, browns and yellows, with gold accents. The seat sits securely within the frame.
The stool would work well at a dressing table, piano or as occasional seating, or as a high foot stool.
 
The teak has been stripped, oiled and finished with a protective wax - it now shimmers as the light hits it. The linen seat is in exceptional condition. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
