This 1960s, Scandinavian 'Rya' rug is a perfect blend of neutral colours with just a splash of mid century pattern and brightness. The background colour is creamy, with shades of gold through to brown, and an abstract circle with shades of green from olive to emerald in the centre. 
 
This vintage Scandinavian rug was made using the rya technique and as such has a long shag pile. Unfortunately it's lost its label, but is believed to be wool with jute backing. It measures 160cm by 85cm, and would work well in a long, thin room such as a hallway or kitchen, or as an accent rug. 
 
The rug is in very good vintage condition. There are no holes or marks, the wool is soft and thick and has been cleaned so smells fresh. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
