Vintage Brass Banker's Lamp, Green Glass Shade

A vintage banker's lamp with attractive aged brass base and vibrant green glass shade.  Banker's lamps are excellent as desk lamps as they cast light down onto the surface, whilst gently illuminating the room through the opaque shade. This lamp has a good weight and adjustable shade which tilts forwards to move the focus of the light. 
 
The lamp is in working order; the wiring has been checked and a new black plug fitted. It doesn't have a switch on the lamp; it turns on via the wall socket only. The lamp takes a standard bayonet cap bulb (B22). As with all vintage electrical items, the buyer should consider seeking professional advice and testing. The brass base of the lamp has surface corrosion leading to a mottled, aged appearance. The shade has no cracks, chips or damage. The base is covered with black felt to protect your desk top.
