Younger Mid Century Teak 'Volnay' Sideboard, 1960s Vintage

A very handsome and relatively small mid century sideboard, ideal for smaller rooms. Made by A. Younger, the sideboard was designed by John Herbert as part of the popular Volnay range in the mid 50s, and was still being sold in the mid 60s. Constructed of solid afromosia with teak veneer on the cupboard and drawer fronts, it has a great build quality and a good range of storage.  It has an elegant curved top and tapered legs. There are 2 cupboards with internal shelves, and 4 drawers; the top drawer has divisions for cutlery and original green baize lining. 
 
The sideboard is in very good vintage condition, with only minor marks to the wood. There is no fading to the top. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
